Jorge Jiménez Aguirre obtained his bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). During his bachelor’s thesis he worked at the Materials Science Department in the University on project “Mechanical Characterization of Metallic Alloys at Static and Impact Regime” on ballistic components for military applications. In addition he is currently enrolled on a Double Master Degree for Materials Engineering at UPM (2017/2018 Madrid, Spain) and TUT (2018/2019 Tampere, Finland).
In February 2018, he joined MATERALIA in the Department of Physical metallurgy at CENIM-CSIC (National Centre for Metallurgical Research). He is working on Molecular Dynamics, Atomistic Simulation of the precipitation and coalescence of high carbon concentration clusters on steels.
