Mr. César Fernández Jiménez is a PhD candidate at the Spanish National Centre for Metals Research (CENIM-CSIC). He obtained his bachelor’s Degree and his Master´s Degree in Materials Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid in 2018 and 2021 respectively. During his Master´s Degree he held an internship at the National Centre for Metallurgical Research (CENIM-CSIC) working on the biodegradable scaffolds for osteosynthesis applications. His Master’s thesis was carried out with the MATERALIA Group in the Department of Physical Metallurgy of CENIM-CSIC with the title of Characterization of high entropy alloys MnCrFe2Ni2 and CoCrFe2Ni2 with additions in different amounts of Cu and Mo after high temperature thermal treatments. He joined the MATERALIA Group at CENIM-CSIC as a PhD student in 2021, the focus of his research is on the study and development of alumina-forming martensitic steels for power generation systems. In 2023, he conducted a doctoral research stay at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in the Nuclear Science & Engineering group.
