Graduated in Biology in 2010 by the University of Alcalá, specialized in genetics, cellular and molecular biology and PhD in molecular biosciences by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 2022. Her professional career developed first at the Astrobiology Center (INTA-CSIC) where she characterized the microbial community of an Antarctic archipelago. Subsequently, he carried out his doctoral thesis studying the relationship between the Polycomb complex proteins and the immortalization of hematopoietic progenitors at the Alberto Sols Biomedical Research Institute (IIB-UAM) and at the Biological Research Center (CIB-CSIC). Then, at the Clara Campal Oncology Research Center (HM Hospitals) he studied different ways to characterize tumors of oncology patients using 3D cultures, as well as trying to relate variants in the blood cellular patterns of patients with COVID-19. Recently, she participated in the scientific and technical assistance and in the maintenance, design, organization, improvement and operation of the cell culture service facilities of the Margarita Salas IBC. In addition, as an accredited expert in the area of biosafety, I have been responsible for the coordination of the Bioethics and Biosafety Commission of the CIB-CSIC until February 2025. Currently, he is part of the microbiological corrosion laboratory within the research group “Degradation and Durability of Metallic Biomaterials (DeBio)”.
