Vicente Pérez Aroca obtained his bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he carried out his bachelor’s thesis titled ‘Bioleaching of rare earth bearing minerals using thermophilic microorganisms’. He completed his master studies in Integrity and Durability of Materials, Components and Structures at the University of Oviedo. His master’s thesis was on the ‘Influence of microalloying elements in Press Hardened Steels’. As a continuation of what he learnt during his master’s degree, he joined the MATERALIA Group in March 2021 to work on the European Project ‘Advanced metallurgical and micromechanical modelling to deploy the microstructural tailoring potential of press hardening’ (MiPRE, RFSC-2019-899268). Nowadays, he works as a PhD Student within the framework of the European Project on allotropic and magnetic transitions of steels.
